It's Farewell to 'H' as he returns to Hungerford Town

The club can confirm that Harrison Bayley has this week signed for Hungerford Town in the Vanarama National League South, the club he joined us from in the early stages of last season.

Harrison came in towards the end of September 2021, making his debut in the win away at Weston-Super-Mare. His arrival came at a time when we needed an experienced central midfielder to replace Ty Smith. 'H' played a vital holding midfield role, providing additional cover for the defensive line while allowing others from midfield to support the forwards.

Former Hartley Wintney manager, now Director of Football, Anthony Millerick, chose Harrison to receive the Manager’s Player of the Season award in May, and while sad to see him go, he now praised the midfielder. "We'd known about Harrison for years before he came to us. He arrived with a great reputation both as a player and as a person, and I have to say he fully lived up to the billing during his time with us. He provided a strong anchor to the midfield and stuck to his job with controlled aggression and a cool head. He was good for us and we thank him and wish him well."
